How much does it cost for a bespoke kitchen?

Maybe your kitchen is tired and dated, maybe you want a change in style or how your kitchen functions or maybe you’re ready to take that dividing wall out and create the open spaced kitchen/diner you’ve always dreamed of.

Whatever the reason that sparks your new kitchen search, the question that will top of the list….how much is a new kitchen going to cost?

Bespoke Interiors is just one of many kitchen companies in Newcastle and the surrounding areas so it may seem like a daunting task to narrow down which company you’d like to work with on your project. To help, we’ve given a brief guide on budgets which might help you focus in on the right fit for you.

What’s your budget?

Everyone has a budget in mind when they set out looking to cost a new kitchen. We know cost isn’t always the deciding factor when making a purchase but your ball park budget will determine the type of company you want to be looking for when obtaining quotes.

£1-5k Budget

This is the lowest budget and doesn’t get you much in today’s market. With a budget of this size, you should be aiming for the mass produced markets and the traditional sheds like Homebase and B&Q. This budget won’t likely get you a fully fitted kitchen but it could get you a budget supply only kitchen if you’re skilled enough to install the kitchen yourself. Remember to get qualified tradesmen for your gas and electrical work.

£5-10k Budget

Within this range of budget you are looking at a fully fitted kitchen. However, you will struggle with anything bespoke at this price range. You should be looking at Factory Kitchen outlets and companies that mass produce kitchens in set ranges with set sizes. This allows companies to bring the costs down but also limits your design options.

Follow this link for a guide on fitting costs.

£10-20k

This is a fair budget to start looking at the bespoke range of kitchen companies. At the lower end of this budget you will be able to get bespoke furniture with laminate worksurfaces. The upper end of this budget will open you up to granite, quartz and Corian options.

This budget ranges opens you up to a lot of bespoke options. If you’re looking at kitchens in this bracket then you really need to be looking at the independents out there and not your mass producing companies. A company like Wren or Magnet could well give you a kitchen in this price bracket but they lack bespoke capabilities and your design will suffer for it.

The lower end of this budget will afford you overlay doors; granite, quartz and Corian worktops with appliances such as Hotpoint and some Bosch models.

The upper end of this budget opens you up to In-Frame kitchens, the top groups of quartz etc and top end appliances like Miele, Siemens etc.

£50k +

This budget range takes you into the highest end of kitchen design and manufacture. There really is no limit to how much you can spend on a kitchen. With appliances such as Wolf,  La Canche and Gaggenau. It’s not unreasonable to spend £20-30k on appliances alone.

While we do appreciate these companies offer very good quality products, we also advise that there is a lot of perceived value added and you are paying a lot of money for the name.

At Bespoke Interiors, we offer the same quality of product, the same range of appliances and the same service at a much lower cost than some of the bigger brands in this price range. Sometimes value for money is more important than the badge.

What budget range should I be looking at for Bespoke Interiors?

Due to our ability to manufacture, we are able to cover a large portion of the budgets set out in this guide as we can tailor the materials used and the appliances supplied to suit the budget required.

Typically, our kitchens start around 15k up to 100k with an average spend of 35k.

We hope this information was of some use in finding the right kitchen company to work with on your next project.
