Custom-made traditional kitchens for the heart of the home

At our Bespoke Kitchens Newcastle Workshop, our custom-made traditional kitchens are designed to be the heart of
your home. We use natural materials to craft stunning traditional kitchen cabinets that offer durability and warmth, bringing an organic feel to your space.

Our kitchen designs embrace natural light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere that makes your kitchen both beautiful and welcoming. We work closely with our clients, and whether you envision painted cabinets in soft hues or rich tones, each element is tailored to reflect your personal style. Our open shelving adds both character and practicality, providing a modern twist to the classic kitchen aesthetic.

Incorporating a key kitchen feature like an elegant island will create a focal point in your space, drawing the eye to the craftsmanship and intricate details of your traditional-style kitchen. At Bespoke Interiors based in Newcastle, every classic kitchen is uniquely designed to suit the flow of your home, ensuring that each detail is both functional and inspiring.

What is a traditional kitchen style?

A traditional kitchen style embraces classic, timeless elements, often incorporating natural materials like rich wood or stone countertops. It usually has ornate details, warm colour palettes, and understated lighting.

Traditional kitchens commonly feature soft, muted tones and crown moulding. Above all, they are known for their welcoming and inviting atmosphere – a place where you can easily lose yourself for hours.

One of the greatest advantages of traditional kitchens is their enduring appeal. While trends may come and go, the traditional style remains consistently popular and in demand. Unlike contemporary kitchens, which focus on minimalism, traditional kitchens celebrate charm and decorative finishes, offering a space that feels both elegant and homely.

The quality of the materials, the installation and the price were all of the highest standards and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Frequently Asked Questions

What are the features of traditional kitchens?

Traditional kitchens feature natural materials, such as hardwood, stone or tile for flooring. They also often have a neutral colour palette with shades of white, beige and cream. Additionally, traditional kitchens benefit from the simple backsplash, farmhouse sinks and intricate cabinetry with ornate mouldings as well as elegant hardware.

The main differences between a modern and a traditional kitchen come from their appearance and style. While modern kitchens are simplistic with clean lines, traditional kitchens are more homey, featuring a warmer colour palette.

Modern kitchens are minimalistic, featuring almost no patterns. In contrast, traditional kitchens draw inspiration from past eras and often have more detailed designs. For storage, modern kitchens utilise open shelving with hidden drawers. Traditional kitchens typically include closed-off storage spaces. Some other differences also include materials used to manufacture the kitchen, appliances and decorative details.

Shaker kitchens are a traditional, simplistic design of square wooden kitchen doors with flat panels on the fronts. The shaker kitchens are based on the clean, minimalistic and symmetrical design, which stands the test of time.

Traditional kitchens are always in style because this design does not follow modern trends that might come and go. Our clients choose traditional kitchens because this style will always have a place in interior design. It blends seamlessly with a home’s original features.

Traditional kitchens go well with many styles, including rustic, or modern country. Because we work so closely with our clients, we can always design a traditional kitchen that works for you and your home.

On average, homeowners can expect the kitchen installation to cost around £3,500, however, this price depends on a variety of different factors. Read our latest guide which explains:  How much is a new kitchen?

The time it takes to install a kitchen depends on the size of your space and the vision. As we work closely with our clients during the initial consultation process, the time it takes to install the agreed vision varies. On average, it takes around six weeks to design the kitchen, from start to finish and around four weeks to install it.
